- > Automotive Grade replacement mirror glass lens. Does not include plastic backing plate or electrical mirror heater attached or included.
- > Includes double sided adhesive tape. This adhesive should only be used to stick the new glass lens on top of the cracked but firmly in place old glass that has a smooth and even surface.
- > If the old glass is removed or fallen off from the plastic backing plate, or is missing pieces – the included adhesive should not be used as this backing plate in uneven and grooved and does not provide enough surface for double sided adhesive to bond. In this case it is recommended to use a form of permanent glue such as silicone to stick the glass on the grooved plastic backing plate.
- > Glass is curved (convex) and engraved with insignia “Objects in mirror are closer than they appear” per highway safety acts in effect in the US and Canada.
- > Special anti-rust paint layer on the engraving on back of the lens provides clear visibility and reading of the insignia on front and prevents from pre-mature rust of the glass coating on the back.
This mirror glass has Diagonal Measure (Longest): 8 7/16 inch = 21.4 cm. Same year/make/model may come with different mirror shape or sizes depending on the markets they released in, options installed, or mirror may have been changed over the course of the life of the vehicle. Please compare actual picture and the longest diagonal dimension provided to your vehicle prior to order to make sure of ordering appropriate fit. Please note the provided double sided adhesive is only to be used to stick the new glass on top of the old cracked glass that has a smooth and even surface. Use glue such as silicone if you intended to stick the glass on the plastic backing plate.
